Photo 0147. Photograph of  The Crown, Sherborn, Dorset - photo taken between 1973 and 1975. A carpenter is working on the side door while his colleague, complete in apron, is walking from the works van, an old Bedford? reg number OPR 302. The newer car is PTK 405K. Photo 0147. Photograph of  The White Hart, Sherborn, Dorset - photo taken between 1973 and 1975. The Bass Charrington pub occupies two buildings built from different stone. The roofs of the two buildings have become one roof but the right hand side building's roof used to be higher and steeper as can be witnessed by the corbelling on the chimney stack. The gap to the left of the White Hart looks to be an opening to the rear of the pub but states "Eldridge Pope Wine Merchants Sherborne Branch". The print is made from a scanned 6cm x 6cm black and white negative. File size is approximately 120 Mb. Print sizes and costs are at the bottom of this page for one off prints. Photo 0149. Photograph of  The Half Moon, Sherborn, Dorset - photo taken between 1973 and 1975. The Bass Charrington pub has a lower base of stone and the upper walls are made of brick panels divided by black timbers. The dirty Cortina in the foreground has the reg plate GFX 519E while next to it is OYA 978L and then DTC 885E. The print is made from a scanned 6cm x 6cm black and white negative. File size is approximately 120 Mb. Print sizes and costs are at the bottom of this page for one off prints. Photo 0150. Photograph of  The Plume Of Feathers Hotel, Sherborn, Dorset - photo taken between 1973 and 1975. The Bass Charrington pub has a Folk Music poster in the window. The double wall between the pub and the building on the right is curious. The pub wall is thick as can be witnessed by the large stone half way up. The wall thins out towards the top so that there is a gap between the two walls at roof level which needs a separate gutter. The building also looks too small to have three floors when compared with the two storey building to its left. The print is made from a scanned 6cm x 6cm black and white negative. File size is approximately 120 Mb. Print sizes and costs are at the bottom of this page for one off prints.
